Samsung Electronics introduced its revised vision of “AI Home” and a new range of appliances at the global launch event, Welcoming Bespoke AI, in Seoul, Korea. The company’s goal is to enhance the user experience with greater security and intuitiveness through the integration of advanced AI features and newer model appliances with screens.
The Vision: An AI-Powered Connected Home
During the global press conference, Jeong Seung Moon, executive vice president and head of the R&D team for digital appliances business at Samsung Electronics, started the meeting by discussing the AI home initiatives Samsung is working on. The initiative aims to enable various devices in the home to interact with one another and use AI technology to predict the user’s requirements in every room.
The company’s dedication toward easing the daily routine of a customer, conserving energy, as well as looking after the user is taken care of through its Bespoke AI appliances. “With our bespoke AI appliances, Samsung has integrated an AI Home that not only eases daily activities but also takes care of energy-saving technologies,” he said. “We will further integrate more advanced AI functionalities into other households leveraging the smart screens, Bixby, and Knox security.”
The 2025 Range of Bespoke AI Appliances
Samsung also added smart features like enhanced user functionalities to address the concerns of users to its 2025 lineup of Bespoke AI appliances.
A major addition in this range is the further integration of the AI Home display. Following AI Home screen’s initial integration last year, its launch has now been extended to new products including the Bespoke AI Refrigerators, the Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo, and Washers and Dryers with AI Home screens of new sizes.
The Bespoke AI Refrigerators also integrate a 9-inch AI home screen with enhanced food management capabilities that surpass the functionalities offered through the AI Family Hub™ screen, including newer AI Vision Inside features like automatic recognition of processed food items for those with the AI Family Hub™ or the ones featuring the AI Home.
Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo and other newer models of the AI Laundry series come with upgraded AI functionalities such as AI Wash+ and AI Dry+. This modification ensures that the newer models save over class. A benchmark of energy usage.
Bespoke AI appliances by Samsung now come with advanced algorithm features that enhance them to provide more tailored services for their individual customers.
Bespoke AI Series also come with hybrid refrigerators. AI technology employed within these refrigerators maximizes thermal management by understanding the operating conditions of the fridge and anticipating internal temperature fluctuations.
Formerly, clients had to surrender to the situation of controlling their washing and drying cycles peripherally. With the new 7-inch AI display within the Washing AI system, users can view other synchronously connected devices and control the connections via an intuitive system.
This shortening of the needed time completes Super Speed cycles for both washing and drying within 68 minutes, thus making the product the fastest in class.
Advancements in Cleaning Technology
Samsung is still active in its development of robotic and cell vacuums. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, a cordless stick vacuum cleaner, will hit the shelves as the most powerful vacuum in the world. Its suction power will reach 400W. The self-propelled vacuum AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 features enhanced performance by improving classification of different types of corners, carpets, and other areas.
Samsung’s newest robotic vacuum, Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra, comes equipped with the ability to AI object recognize complex surroundings. It can identify obstacles down to the millimeter, including transparent liquids, allowing for smarter cleaning. It is also capable of steam cleaning, allowing it to climb over thresholds. The vacuum is equipped with a self-pressing brush that pops out when encountering corners or walls, enhancing overall cleaning.
Samsung Home Appliances Bring Ease of Use and Help Consumers to Save
Samsung highlighted their “AI Home” vision that is intended for ease, user care, and energy savings, focusing on the integration of AI technology.
Interaction with the Bespoke AI appliances is improved with the AI Home display. As a smart screen, it serves as the central hub of control that links other devices without a separate SmartThings hub. It is possible for users to view personalized data through the Daily Board on the refrigerator and monitor their connected devices via Map View.
The recent updates done to Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant, make it more convenient to operate appliances with the new Voice ID feature. Voice ID makes accessibility easier for low-vision users by automatically syncing settings and showing the user’s calendar. Voice ID also makes the service more personal as it recognizes the user’s voice, switches to their Samsung account, and shows their calendar.
SmartThings now has Family Care, which notifies other family members if the user has not been active for a while or if movement hasn’t been detected for a prolonged period. An additional feature of the robot vacuum cleaner is that it can be used to identify the user’s emergency signs. All of this functionality is protected with Samsung Knox security.
Security and Reliability: Key Priorities
In the AI Home experience, Samsung showcases their focus on user trust and safety.
All appliances coming out in 2025 will have Knox security. Trust Chain, a portion of Knox Matrix, will be placed on any Wi-Fi-enabled appliance, which allows users to check the security status in real time through a dashboard. Samsung will also implement increased Knox security features.
The Knox Vault feature is being integrated into home appliances for the first time. It keeps sensitive user information, including passwords and other authentication data, in a dedicated hardware chip to enhance protection. Samsung’s security also implements post-quantum cryptography (PQC) defenses against potential future quantum attacks via Knox Matrix Credential Sync for screen-based devices.
Along with hardware, Samsung is also concentrating on secondary software updates to allow customers to obtain newer features on their old appliances. Smart Forward, the SmartThings software update service, delivers features on a rolling basis.
Samsung is enhancing product support and maintenance as well. SmartThings Home Care leverages AI to analyze the state of the appliances and issue advance malfunction alerts. Based on these pre-diagnosis results, technical support staff can remotely guide users to carry out necessary procedures. After initially launching in Korea and the U.S., this service has recently expanded to France, the Netherlands, and Canada.
Samsung is trying to enhance the reliability and safety of smart home devices through these measures.
