Saudi Arabia has launched HUMAIN, an artificial intelligence company entirely owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy aimed at transforming the Kingdom into a global leader in AI innovation and digital infrastructure.
HUMAIN’s announcement was made by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and PIF Governor. The company will be integrated as a single operational entity with the capability to provide a comprehensive range of AI products and services at scale. In addition, the Prince will lead the company as its Chairman.
PIF further stated that HUMAIN is pivotal to Saudi Arabia’s aim of becoming a global center of artificial intelligence. The company plans to build and operate next-generation data centers, develop advanced models and tools, and establish cloud infrastructures with AI capabilities. Furthermore, it aims to launch multimodal Arabic LLMs, positioned among the world’s most advanced.

As the PIF announcement states, HUMAIN will be creating an integrated AI ecosystem with the aim of servicing both local and international markets.
