The Belfry Hotel & Resort, one of the most famous places in the West Midlands, is preparing its first Belfry Classic Golf Day with Elliott Group and Turkish Airlines as the main sponsors.
This premier event will be held on the Brabazon course, the crowning jewel of the resort, which also boasts the distinction of hosting the most Ryder Cups of any course in the world.
Turkish Airlines Comes on Board
Turkey’s national airline, Turkish Airlines, is also lending its sponsorship support and it has the key role at this event. They hold a Guinness World Record for the ‘Most Countries Flew To By An Airline,’ which they received in December of 2024. In addition, the airline has received significant recognition in the aviation market after being awarded the ‘Best Airline in Europe’ eight times at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
The Belfry shares a strong and established relationship with Turkish Airlines, as The Belfry has hosted their annual golf day for the last ten years and has worked with them on several Turkish Airlines promotional campaigns.
Elliott Group’s Involvement
The Elliott Group is the other main sponsor of the Belfry Classic Golf Day, which is also known as the Elliott Belfry Golf Day. Elliott Group is currently working on a Marriott Resort at The Belfry, where they are constructing a new leisure club that is set to be completed in September. This project stems from Elliott Group’s prior expansion work that took place at the resort, which includes renovations to the bedrooms and bar and the expansion of The Ryder Grill restaurant.
A Star-Studded Event
The other invitees of the Classic Golf Day include prominent celebrities in football, cricket, horseracing, rugby, and athletics, as well as music and television. Celebrity sports host and journalist Dan Walker will be covering the event as the host. This exclusive tournament will happen on May 22, Thursday. During the day, a unique excitement awaits where the attendees, bearing various themes, will form a great undivided whole. The celebrities will enjoy a spectacular four-ball competition on the Brabazon course.

Since 2022, the Brabazon course has been the official location of the luxurious Betfred British Masters and has borne witness to some of the most remarkable golfing moments in history.
Charitable Giving as the Focus for the Belfry Classic Golf Day
Besides the celebrity appearances and the golfing action, the Belfry Classic Golf Day also has a charitable focus. The proceeds from the event will go to two of The Belfry’s charity partners who positively impact lives.
For the second year running, The Belfry has been funding the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This charity aims to support people and families living with MND by increasing care services and funding research.
The Belfry is also reaffirming its long-term commitment to Hospitality Action. This charity provides a safety net for hospitality workers who are in crisis, offering help through finances, mental health support, and more.
The Most Exciting Part of the Opening Day
The event around the Belfry Classic Golf Day is expected to be much more than just a golf tournament. An all-day BBQ, live performances, drinks receptions, and a gala dinner. The day will culminate in an after-party.
